We at Nathan Contractors are excited to announce...
The drive towards renewable energy
Nathan Contractors is making a significant impact across Australia in the drive towards renewable energy. Through strategic partnerships and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety, we are helping to shape the future of wind energy, positioning ourselves as the go-to experts in the industry.
At the Bango Wind Farm in New South Wales, our collaboration with Downer resulted in the construction of 46 monolithic foundation footings for wind turbines. Each footing, a first of its kind in Australia, measured 20.4 meters in diameter and 3.48 meters in height. This project also involved the installation of over 6,000 meters of electrical conduits and the pouring of more than 25,000 cubic meters of concrete. Completed within the scheduled 11 months, the Bango Wind Farm project underscores our ability to deliver on time without compromising on safety or quality, strengthening our partnership with Downer.
On time and within budget
In Victoria, the Berrybank Wind Farm (Stage 2) saw us join forces with Bielby. Over six months, we constructed 26 monolithic foundation footings, demonstrating our efficiency and capability in managing large-scale projects. Despite challenging weather conditions, the project was completed on time and within budget, with zero lost time injuries. This achievement further solidified our position as leaders in the FRP works for the energy sector.
Our innovative approach was on full display at the Crookwell 2 Wind Farm in New South Wales. Working with BMD Constructions, we constructed 28 gravity footings for wind turbine generators. The project was marked by efficient work methods, such as implementing a roller screed system for concrete pours. This innovation enhanced productivity and ensured that all project specifications were met with high-quality finishes.
Our ability to adapt and maintain project momentum
The Collector Wind Farm project in New South Wales further highlighted our strategic role in Australia’s wind energy landscape. In partnership with Civilex, we constructed 54 monolithic foundation footings for Vestas-engineered wind turbines. Our ability to adapt and maintain project momentum, even in the face of delays, ensured that all works exceeded client specifications and reinforced our strong client relationships.
Our pivotal role in these key wind energy projects underscores our strategic importance in Australia’s renewable energy sector. Our expertise in delivering high-quality, innovative solutions on time and within budget has made us the preferred partner for clients developing sustainable energy infrastructure. As Australia continues to embrace renewable energy, Nathan Contractors will be central to powering the nation’s clean energy future.
